Parish Council Meeting

MINUTES of the St Eval Parish Council meeting held at the St Eval Parish Hall on Wednesday 7 th November 2018. 

Present: Kim Hayward – Chairperson, Mick Baker, Peter Sandry, Joyce Froome, George Alecock & Michele Woodhead. 

Malcolm Sherman [Parish Clerk] Stephen Rushworth CC. Julie Hills, SERPA. Jamie Grant, Wain homes. & Peter Greening. 

Before the meeting started Julie Hills , SEPRA spoke about the problems that the residents of Trevisker have been experiencing about the speed of traffic on the main road and the lack of proper lighting along the same road. She is hoping that with the new buildings proposed on either side of the road that something could be done about both problems. Traffic calming she believes is a necessity and a zebra crossing. Jamie Grant, Wain homes was attending the meeting to outline the minor changes his company was suggesting from the original plans that were submitted to CC. He stated that he would look into the the traffic calming ideas put forward. The meeting also agreed to have an on site meeting with Highways to see if any improvements could be gained from them. Peter Greening from Trevisker had attended the meeting to introduce himself. He is very keen to take the post of Public rights of way advisor to the PC. He explained is a very keen walker and knows the Footpath network in the St Eval Parish well. The Councillors voted unanimously that he should be given the position. Prop: MB Sec: MW All Supported.
